L’Isolella’s beach, located on the southern shores, is one of Ajaccio’s true treasures. Just after Porticcio and Agosta, L’Isolella has a beautiful sandy beach with crystal clear, turquoise water, surrounded by rocks and sheltered by a peninsula. The shallow water makes for perfect swimming for both children and grownups.

The Mare e Sole Beach (or Silver Beach), one of the region’s gems, can also be found on the south shore of the Gulf of Ajaccio. With silvery-coloured fine sand and translucent, shallow water, this sheltered, almost windless beach next to a pine forest is true paradise.

Porticcio is situated 15 minutes from Ajaccio airport and faces the imperial city across the water. Porticcio is a dynamic and welcoming seaside resort on the southern shore. There are plenty of shops and amenities: restaurants, hotels, cafes, ice cream sellers, reputed crêperies and a nightclub. The craftsmen and shopkeepers contribute to the animation of this pretty coastal resort of southern Corsica. You will also find a post office, banks, and tobacconists.
Not forgetting of course Porticcio’s white sandy beaches and its mild Mediterranean climate.

The beautiful lake at Tolla stretches over 5 km and is surrounded by walnut and chestnut trees. During the summer season, a nautical centre provides a number of activities for both children and adults.
